It was on a cold, snowy february day when I met Jodi and Roger for the first time. That beautiful, red haired women from hot, sunny Texas was packed in several layers of cloths and oh my, she was cold and I so sorry for her. Swiss weather can be tough.
Inside a cute cafe they told me about their incredible love story, and how they met. While Jodi was all by herself in Switzerland for holidays, she met Roger who was for business reasons on a train in the Bernese Mountains. A look, a second one, and both knew something was there. Gladly they exchanged numbers and a few months later, Jodi moved with her furniture and her dog to Switzerland.
Their Wedding was celebrated in a very private circle of family and their closest friends on a boat on the beautiful Lake Thun, one of my favorite lakes in Switzerland. The morning started with hot, humid weather, but the afternoon, after the ceremony, the weather changed dramatically lighting and black clouds started to move towards the town of Spiez and to be honest here, I wasn’t feeling to well at first being stuck 3 hours on a boat in the middle of the lake. We didn’t felt a drop of rain on us. For the sky looked absolutely incredible.
There was so much laughter and joy during this time. A first dance on the boat at sunset, cake cutting with a very exhilarating groom and lots of wind who blew all the ladies hair around except my brides one. Her hairdo was steady and firm, a creation of Carmen Roy, who did an fantastic job.
